Our practice is now offering Pro-Nox™ as an option for temporary pain relief during certain procedures, including IUD insertions, Pap tests, and treatments for incontinence or vaginal dryness. This is a safe and effective gas delivery system that uses a combination of 50% nitrous oxide and 50% oxygen and is self-administered by the patient. Often compared to “laughing gas”, Pro-Nox™ can help relieve treatment pain, stress, anxiety and discomfort by putting the patient in a more relaxed state while remaining fully conscious.
Pro-Nox™ is not covered by insurance and is only available in the Decatur location. The fee is $125 per procedure.
